Uttarakhand All Districts Guest Teacher Vacancies
Update (19th Mar 2025): The Education department is going to appoint 789 more Guest Teachers in Govt Secondary Schools on the basis of online applications invited as per G.O. No. 1023 dated 22 Nov 2018. These teachers of Lecturer Cadre will be appointed in schools of hilly and remote areas of the state for various Arts subjects (see details below).
Subject-wise total number of Guest Teacher Posts: Hindi- 193, Geography- 90, Economics- 194, Civics- 217 and History- 95.
District-wise total number of Guest Teacher to be filled in Arts stream: Chamoli- 101, Pithoragarh- 98, Pauri- 154, Almora- 90, Uttarkashi- 22, Tehri- 61, Nainital- 39, Champawat- 44, Bageshwar- 55, Rudraprayag- 61, Dehradun- 19, Udham Singh Nagar- 42 and Haridwar- 03.

Remuneration (Salary) – Rs 15000-25000 per month.
Educational Qualification:
Lecturer (PGT/ Pravakta) – Post Graduation (PG) Degree in concerned subject with B.Ed.
Assistant Teacher LT (TGT/ Sahayak Adhyapak) – Graduation in concerned subject with B.Ed and UTET 2 / CTET 2.
Age Limit – 21 to 42 Years.
Candidates must be registered in any District Employment Office for appointment as a Guest Teacher (Atithi Shikshak) in the Govt schools/ Inter colleges of Uttarakhand. Lecturer and LT Guest Teacher Merit Calculation
Uttarakhand Education Department has released Official Notification/ Government Order for the recruitment of Guest Teacher (Guest Faculty). As per the GO, determination of merit/index for Lecturer and LT Guest Teacher will be calculated using the methods as follows:
Assistant Teacher LT Merit/ Index Calculation Method:
UTET 2nd or CTET 2nd = Percentage of Obtained Marks ÷ 10
Graduation = Percentage of Obtained Marks ÷ 10
B.Ed/ LT/ B.P.Ed (Theory) = Percentage of Obtained Marks ÷ 20
B.Ed/ LT/ B.P.Ed (Practical) = Percentage of Obtained Marks ÷ 20
Teaching Experience:
01 Month = 01 Mark
One Academic session = 04 Marks (Maximum)
More than One Academic session = 12 Marks (Maximum)
Lecturer Merit/ Index Calculation Method:
Graduation = Percentage of Obtained Marks ÷ 10

Selection Process – The vacant posts of Guest Teacher or Guest Faculty in Government Schools/ Colleges (GHS/ GGHS/ GIC/ GGIC Uttarakhand) under Lecturer & LT cadre will be filled district wise, school wise and subject wise. Allotment of schools to the candidates will be based on the merit index and choices as given in the online application subject to verification of original documents.

Online Application Form and Notifications
Eligible and desirous candidates are required to apply online for the Uttarakhand Guest Teacher Recruitment through the website schooleducation.uk.gov.in or educationportal.uk.gov.in. Male candidates can apply only for the General Branch, while female candidates can apply for the both General Branch and Woman Branch.
To apply online for the Uttarakhand Guest Teacher Recruitment firstly go through the One Time Registration process and then proceed to submit the online form. You are advised to read the how to apply guidelines carefully and follow all the instructions given for submitting online application form.
Supply all the required details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, email id, employment exchange registration details, photograph, signature, educational qualification details, address etc correctly while filling the Guest Teacher online form. After successful registration of online form take a print out of the computer generated application form for record/ reference.

मैं संजयपाल सिंह S/o श्री भोपाल सिंह, घनसाली जिलाteri सर मेरा नाम 2020 वाली गेस्ट टीचर भर्ती में आया था लेकिन किसी कारण वश मैं ज्वाइन नहीं कर पाया था। जबकि अगस्त और सितंबर 2024 की मैरिट में मेरा नाम नही आया।
