Preferential qualification – Preference will be given to those candidates who have served in Territorial Army for a minimum period of 02 years OR who have obtained B/ C Certificate of National Cadet Corps (NCC) OR who have acquired Graduate/ Post Graduate degree.
In order to apply for direct recruitment of Group C (Samuh G) Posts, the candidate must have been registered in any employment office located in the state of Uttarakhand till the last date of receipt of application form. OR
The candidate must have domicile certificate of Uttarakhand state. OR In case the candidate does not have the domicile certificate of Uttarakhand state, then he/she must have passed his/her 10th or 12th or its equivalent level of exam from recognized institutions located in the state of Uttarakhand.

Uttarakhand Amin Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The recruitment process consists of objective type written exam of maximum 100 Marks. The Question paper will be of 02 Hours duration and consist of 100 Objective Type Multiple Choice questions based on subjects related to educational qualification.
Minimum 45 marks for GEN/ EWS/ OBC and 35 marks for SC/ ST candidates are required to qualify in the written exam. Negative marking of ¼ marks will be applicable for every wrong answer given by candidates.
For selection, final merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination subject to document verification. In the case of obtaining similar marks by two or more candidates, the merit will be determined on the basis of higher age.
The written exam for the post of UKSSSC Amin is scheduled to be held during the month of Feb 2024 (see exam calendar). Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission is now conducting online exam along with the offline exam. Therefore, the exam may be conducted either offline or online.

UKSSSC Amin Syllabus (Detailed)
The latest and detailed syllabus of Amin (Surveyor) Exam 2024 as provided by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) is as follows:
UNIT 1 – Introduction to engineering drawing, drawing sheet layout and safety precautions, lettering & numbering using drawing instruments, knowledge of different types of scales, determination of R.F. & uses of scales, use & application of conventional signs & symbols, orthographic projections of different objects, introduction and use of AutoCAD commands.
UNIT 2 – Introduction and basic principles of surveying uses of chain & tape, types of chain and tape, testing and adjustment of chain, corrections to chain and tape, ranging (direct & indirect), principle of chain survey and its application, terms used in chain survey, offset and its types, field book, method of chaining on sloping ground, field procedure of chain survey, errors in chain survey and plotting procedure, calculation of area (regular & irregular figures).
UNIT 3 – Introduction to Compass Survey, terms used in compass survey, instrument & it setting up, conversion of bearing WCB to R.B. and vice versa, calculation of included angles, local attraction, magnetic declination and true bearing, closing error, adjustment of closing error, precautions in using prismatic compass.
UNIT 4 – Introduction to plane table survey, principle, merits & demerits, instruments used in plane table survey, setting up the plane table (centering, levelling, orientation), methods of plane table survey (radiation, intersection, resection, traversing), errors in plane table survey.
UNIT 5 – Introduction to Theodolite, Types of Theodolites, parts of Theodolite, terms used in Theodolite survey, temporary adjustment of Theodolite, angle measurement process, reading of angles, field book entry of measured angles, permanent adjustment of Theodolite, traversing using theodolite and its adjustment (closed &open), sources of errors in Theodolite work.
UNIT 6 – Introduction to levelling, types of levelling instruments, technical terms used in levelling, temporary and permanent adjustment, different types of levelling, types of levelling staff, methods of entry of level book (height of instrument and rise and fall methods), curvature & refraction effect, sensitivity of bubble tube, common errors and their elimination.
UNIT 7 – Introduction, history of highway development in India, general principles of alignment, classification and construction of different types of roads, component parts, camber & super elevation, gradients, types of curves, designation of curve.
UNIT 8 – Introduction to contouring, contour interval, selection of contour interval, characteristics of contour, uses of contour, contouring by various methods, interpolation of contour by various methods, drawing of contours, computation of volume.
UNIT 9 – Familiarization with modern survey instruments, parts of total station, temporary adjustment of total station, working procedure of total station, introduction to GPS & GIS and their practical applications.
UNIT 10 – Basic terms used in railways, rail gauges (their functions, types, sections, length of rail), sleeper and ballast (functions, types, requirements), gradients used in railways, basics of railway station and yards.
UNIT 11 – Building materials (Stone, brick, lime, cement, timber), their specifications, characteristics, types and uses, purpose and types of foundations and causes of their failure, types of shoring and scaffolding, knowledge of reinforced cement concrete works, materials used’ for RCC- coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, cement, water and reinforcement.

Eligible and interested candidates are required to register and submit online application form for the Uttarakhand Ameen Recruitment through the website sssc.uk.gov.in from 18th Jan to 07th Feb 2024. You are advised to follow all the instructions given for registration, application submission and payment of fee. After successful submission of online form, take a print out of the computer generated application form for record.
