SSC Stenographer Grade C and D Recruitment 2024-2025

Staff Selection Commission invited online applications for filling up 2006 Vacancies of Steno Grade C (Group B) and Grade D (Group C) in various Ministries, Departments and Organizations. This year SSC Stenographer Exam is scheduled to be held in the month of Oct-Nov 2024 across the country. All eligible 12th pass candidates can apply online for the SSC Steno Grade C D Bharti Vacancies through ssc.gov.in up to 17th Aug 2024. Steno Grade C – Pay Band 2 with GP Rs 4200/ 4600
Steno Grade D – Pay Band 1 with GP Rs 2400

Age Limit (As on 01.08.2024):
Stenographer Grade C – 18 to 30 years i.e. candidate should be born between 02 Aug 1994 and 01 Aug 2006.
Stenographer Grade D – 18 to 27 years i.e. candidate should be born between 02 Aug 1997 and 01 Aug 2006.

Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age. Relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, Ex-Servicemen and other categories will be applicable as per Govt Rules.

Educational Qualification – 12th Pass/ Intermediate/ 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognised Board or University.

Selection and Recruitment Process

The selection process consists of an objective type computer based examination and skill test in stenography. Candidates who obtain the qualifying marks in the exam will be called for the skill test of qualifying in nature. SSC Stenographer Examination Centres

Central Region – Bhagalpur, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Purnea, Agra, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Prayagraj and Varanasi.

Eastern Region – Port Blair, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Bhubaneshwar, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Gangtok and Kolkata.

Karnataka-Kerala Region – Belagavi, Bengaluru, Hubballi, Kalaburagi (Gulbarga), Mangaluru, Mysuru, Shivamogga, Udupi, Ernakulam, Kollam, Kottayam, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur.

North-Western Sub Region – Bathinda, Chandigarh, Hamirpur, Shimla, Jammu, Samba, Srinagar, Leh, Amritsar and Patiala.

Southern Region – Guntur, Kurnool, Rajahmundry, Tirupati, Vijaywada, Vishakhapatnam, Puducherry, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem, Tiruchirapalli, Tirunelveli, Hyderabad and Warangal.

Western Region – Panaji, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara, Amravati, Aurangabad, Jalgaon, Kolhapur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nanded, Nashik and Pune.

Application form, Important Dates and Notification

Eligible and interested candidates may submit online application for the SSC Stenographer Recruitment through the website ssc.gov.in up to 17th Aug 2024. Online application contains two parts as One-time Registration part and Application form Part. Registration Part is for filling basic information and Application Part is required for payment details, uploading of photograph and scanned signature.

Candidates are advised to read the instructions and fill all the required details carefully while filling up the Registration Part and Application form Part.

Application fee – Rs 100/- (One hundred only).
The fee can be paid through online payment modes as BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card. SC, ST, Women, Persons with disability and Ex-serviceman candidates are exempted from payment of fee.

Important Dates:
Last date for submission of online form – 17th August 2024 (11 PM)
Last date of fee payment – 18th August 2024 (11 PM)
Application form correction – 27th to 28th August 2024 (11 PM)
Examination date – October-November 2024
