Head Constable – Rs. 25500 per month (Level-4)
Assistant Sub Inspector – Rs. 29200 per month (Level-5)
Sub Inspector – Rs. 35400 per month (Level-6)
Total number of Vacancies – 872 Vacancies
HC Communication – 746 Vacancies (UR-416, SC-121, ST-56, OBC-153)
ASI Communication – 110 Vacancies (UR-78, SC-14, ST-07, OBC-11)
SI Communication – 16 Vacancies (UR-11, SC-02, ST-02, OBC-01)
Age Limit (As on closing date of application)
Head Constable – 18 to 23 Years
Sub Inspector and Assistant Sub Inspector – 18 to 25 years
Educational Qualification
Head Constable (HC) – Matriculation (10th pass) with 02 years ITI Certificate in Electronics or 12th pass (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) – Matriculation (10th pass) with Diploma in Electronics/ Telecommunication or 12th pass (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with 50% Marks in aggregate.
Sub Inspector (SI) – Degree in Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Science with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics from a recognized University/ Institute.
Recruitment Procedure
SSB Communication Recruitment process will consist of Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test, Documentation, Written exam and Medical examination. For Physical Standards (Height, Chest & Weight), Exam Pattern and Selection Procedure read the information in detail below.
Examination fee
The examination fee can be paid in the form of IPO/ Demand Draft/ Banker Cheque as per post wise details below. SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates are not required to submit examination fee.

Assistant Sub Inspector – Rs. 100/- in favour of “Accounts Officer, Frontier HQ, SSB, Guwahati” payable at SBI Chenikuthi, Branch Code-7976
Sub Inspector – Rs. 200/- in favour of “Accounts Officer, Frontier HQ, SSB, Ranikhet” payable at SBI Ranikhet, Branch Code-0704
How to Apply
Eligible and desirous candidates may apply for SSB Communication Recruitment in the prescribed application form by downloading from website www.ssbrectt.gov.in or from the link below. Send application form complete in all respect along with self-attested passport size photographs, fee, 02 self-addressed envelopes with postal stamps of Rs.25/- on each, self-attested copies of required documents etc at the following address according to post.
