Age Limit (as on application closing date):
Civilian Motor Driver (CMD) – 18 to 27 years
LDC, CTI and Steno Grade II – 18 to 25 years
Relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Serviceman and PWD will be applicable as per Govt rules.

Educational Qualification:
Lower Division Clerk (LDC) – 12th Pass (10+2) from a recognized Board and English typing @ 35 wpm on computer OR Hindi typing @ 30 wpm on computer.
Civilian Motor Driver – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board. Candidate must have the civilian driving license for heavy vehicles with 02 years experience of driving heavy vehicles.
Civilian Technical Instructor – B.Sc with Physics or equivalent from a recognized University with teaching experience.
Stenographer Grade II – 12th Pass (10+2) from a recognized Board and Dictation 10 minutes @ 80 wpm and Transcription 50 minutes (English) and 65 minutes (Hindi) on computer.

1 STC Jabalpur Recruitment Process and Exam Syllabus

The selection process will consist of written test and skill/ trade/ typing test. Candidates qualified in written exam will have to undergo skill/ trade/ typing test (as applicable). The recruitment tests will be conducted in Jabalpur (MP) only. Exam date and time for written test for all categories will be intimated in the Admit Card (Call letter) only to individuals whose applications are found correct in all respects after scrutiny.

In case of large number of applications received, candidates could be shortlisted for the exam on the basis of percentage of marks in the essential/ desirable qualification or on the basis of higher qualification or experience.

Written Examination – The written test will consist of total 150 objective type questions and comprised of 04 parts. The question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) and will comprise of questions based on General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, General English and Numerical Aptitude. The written exam will be of 02 Hours duration.

General Intelligence and Reasoning – 25 Questions (25 Marks)
General Awareness – 50 Questions (50 Marks)
General English – 50 Questions (50 Marks)
Numerical Aptitude – 25 Questions (25 Marks)

Examination Syllabus:

General Intelligence and Reasoning – The questions will be of 10th standard and would include questions of non-verbal type. The test may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship arithmetical-computation and other analytical functions.

General Awareness – The questions will be of 10th standard. The questions will be designed to test the ability of candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of 10th standard educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that, they do not require a special study of any discipline.

English Language – The questions will be of 10th standard. Candidates understanding the basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage etc. his/ her writing ability would be tested.

Numerical Aptitude – This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and Relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Average, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, use of Table and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work etc.

For selection, final merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in written test subject to qualifying the skill/ trade/ typing test (as applicable).

Application Form, Required Documents and Notification

Eligible and interested candidates will have to apply for the 1 STC Jabalpur Civilian Defence Vacancies in the prescribed application form (offline) by downloading from the website indianarmy.nic.in directly through the link below. Send application form complete in all respect along with the following required documents through Registered Post/ Speed Post to “The Presiding Officer, Civilian Direct Recruitment (Scrutiny of Applications) Board, Headquarters 1 Signal Training Centre, Jabalpur (MP) – 482001” so as to reach on or before the closing date.

Envelope containing application must be superscribed in Capital letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF __________” on the top of the envelope and reserved category (SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS/ Ex-Serviceman/ PWD) on the left corner of the envelope.

Application fee – Crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 50/- in favour of the Commandant, Headquarters 1 Signal Training Centre, Jabalpur (MP) issued on or after the publication of the advertisement. SC, ST, Ex-Serviceman and PWD candidates are exempted from payment of fee.

Required documents – You will have to attach 01 self-addressed envelope with postal stamp, 02 self attested photographs and self attested legible copies of Educational qualification, Technical qualification, Experience certificate, Caste certificate, Income certificate for EWS, Disability certificate, Date of Birth certificate, Aadhar and ESM certificate (as applicable).

Last date for receipt of application form – Within 45 Days from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News or Daily Newspapers.
