Indian Navy MR Recruitment 10th Pass Agniveer Posts 2025

Indian Navy invited applications from 10th pass candidates for enrolment as Agniveer (MR) for 02/2024 and 01/2025 batch. All eligible unmarried male and female candidates can apply online for the Indian Navy MR Bharti Vacancies (Steward, Chef and Hygienist) through agniveernavy.cdac.in up to 05th June 2024 (revised). Navy MR Recruitment 02/2024 and 01/2025 Batch

As per the Agnipath Scheme, the Agniveers will be enrolled in the Indian Navy for a period of 04 years. On completion of 04 years of service, based on organization’s requirements and policies, Agniveers will be offered an opportunity to apply for Permanent enrolment (Regular cadre) in the Indian Navy as Sailor MR (Metric Recruit).

The applications for regular cadre will be considered in centralized manner based on objective criteria including performance during their 04 years engagement period. Up to 25% of each specific batch of Agniveers will be enrolled in Indian Navy for further re-engagement as Sailor (Regular Cadre).

Total Number of Vacancies – The distribution of trade-wise vacancies for MR 02/2024 (Nov 2024) and MR 01/2025 (Apr 2025) will be decided based on service requirement. After amendment (download notice below), recruitment for 01/2025 batch has been merged with 02/2024 batch. There is no reservation of vacancies for the candidates from SC/ ST category.

Pay, Allowances and Allied Benefits – Agniveer (MR) will be paid a package of Rs 30000 /month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, risk and hardship, dress and travel allowances will be paid.

Indian Navy MR Job Specifications:
Steward – Required to serve food in the officers’ messes as waiters, housekeeping, accounting of funds, wine and stores, preparation of menu etc. In addition, Steward will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement.

Chef – Required to prepare food as per menu (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian including handling of meat products) and accounting of ration. In addition, Chef will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement.

Hygienist – Required to clean washroom, shower spaces and other areas. In addition, Hygienist will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement.

Eligibility Criteria (Age, Qualification and Medical Standards)

Age Limit – 17½ to 21 years as on the day of enrolment i.e. candidate should be born between 01 Nov 2003 to 30 Apr 2007 (both days inclusive).

Educational Qualification – 10th Pass (Matriculation) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from the Boards of School Education recognised by Ministry of Education, Govt of India.

Physical and Medical Standards:
Height – Minimum 157 Cms for Male and Female candidates.
Weight – Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.
Visual Standards (Chef/ Steward/ Hygienist):
Uncorrected Vision – 6/12, 6/12
Corrected Vision – 6/6, 6/6
Colour Perception – II

The candidate must be in good physical and mental health, free from any defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties both ashore and afloat under peace as well as war conditions. Candidates are advised to get their ears cleaned for wax, and tartar removed from teeth prior to medical examination.

Tattoos – Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e. from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reversed side of palm/ back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body is not acceptable and candidate will be barred from recruitment.

Indian Navy MR Selection Process (Detailed)

The selection process for Indian Navy Agniveer (MR) includes 02 Stages i.e. Stage-1 (Shortlisting/ Indian Navy Entrance Test) and Stage-2 (PFT, Written Examination and Recruitment Medical Examination), as given in detail below.

Stage-1 (INET or Indian Navy Entrance Test)

Candidates whose applications are found in order will be issued Admit Card (Call up Letter) indicating date, time and place for Stage-1 (Shortlisting/ Indian Navy Entrance Test). Admit Card will be made available to download through official website about 01 week before the online exam scheduled to be conducted during June/ July 2024.

The online exam will be conducted for shortlisting of candidates for further selection process. The shortlisting of candidates for Stage-2 tests will be based on marks obtained in the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET). Shortlisting will be carried out in state wise manner. The cut off marks for shortlisting for the Stage-2 tests may vary from state to state as vacancies have been allocated in a state wise manner.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus – The computer-based exam will be of 30 Minutes duration and will consist of total 50 objective type multiple choice questions (01 mark each). The question paper will comprise of 02 sections i.e. Science & Mathematics and General Awareness. The level of the question paper will be of 10th standard. There will be Negative Marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer given by candidates.

Candidates are required to pass in all sections as well as in aggregate. Result of Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) will be announced tentatively after 30 days. Stage-2 (PFT, Written Exam and Recruitment Medical)

Candidates shortlisted in Stage-1 (INET) will be issued Admit Card for Stage-2 (PFT, Written exam and Recruitment Medical). Stage-2 tests will be conducted at the designated Indian Navy’s centres and Aadhar Card will be mandatory to appear in the tests. The written exam will be conducted according to Syllabus and Sample Papers as given on Indian Navy MR Syllabus and Exam Sample Question Paper.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) – Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test is mandatory for selection and proficiency in sports, swimming and extra curricular activities is desirable. The PFT for Agniveer (MR) will be conducted as follows:

Male Candidates – The PFT for male candidates will consist of 1.6 Kms run within 06 Minutes 30 Seconds, 20 Squats (Uthak Baithak), 15 Push-ups and 15 Bent Knee Sit-ups.
Female Candidates – The PFT for female candidates will consist of 1.6 Kms run within 08 Minutes, 15 Squats (Uthak Baithak), 10 Push-ups and 10 Bent Knee Sit-ups.

Recruitment Medical Examination – Candidates qualified in PFT will have to go through medical examination. Candidates qualifying recruitment medical examination will be considered for merit list.

Merit List – Indian Navy MR Merit list will be prepared on all India basis in order of performance in Stage-2 written exam subject to qualification in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Medical Examination. Agniveer (MR) 02/2024 and 01/2025 Result (merit list) or list of selected candidates will be declared by October 2024.

Final Medical Examination – Finally, all selected candidates will be called at INS Chilka for final medical examination and verification before commencement of training. The candidates will be medically examined by authorized military doctors to assess their physical and medical fitness as per Medical Standards. All selected candidates will have to produce the self-attested certificates along with all original certificates in support of the details submitted at the time of filling online application.

The training for the 02/2024 batch will commence in November 2024 and training for the 01/2025 batch will commence in April 2025 at INS Chilka (Odisha) followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments. Branch/ Trade will be allocated as per the requirement of Service.

Online Application form, Important Dates and Notification

Eligible and desirous candidates are required to apply online for the Indian Navy MR Recruitment through the website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in or agniveernavy.cdac.in up to 05th June 2024 (revised). Keep ready scanned copies of color photograph with blue background, 10th mark sheet & certificate, domicile certificate etc required documents to upload online with the application form.

After successful submission of online application take a copy of the system generated application form for further requirements. You’ll have to carry all original certificates, mark sheet, domicile certificate, NCC certificate (if held) and call letter/ admit card at all stages of recruitment process.

Examination fee – You will have to pay Rs 550/- (Rupees Five hundred fifty only) plus 18% GST during the online application through online mode by using Net Banking or Visa/ Master/ RuPay Credit/ Debit Card/ UPI.
