ITBP Constable (Kitchen Services) Recruitment
Total Number of Vacancies – 819 Posts (Group C)
Pay Scale and Allowances – Rs 21700-69100 (as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-3) plus allowances.
The post will carry Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, Special Compensatory Allowance (while posted in specified border areas), free accommodation or HRA, Transport Allowance, Leave Travel Concession, Free Medical Facilities and any other allowance as admissible in the Force from time to time under the rules.

UR Category: 458 Vacancies (Male-389, Female-69)
SC Category: 48 Vacancies (Male-41, Female-07)
ST Category: 70 Vacancies (Male-60, Female-10)

Age Limit – 18 to 25 years as on 01 Oct 2024 i.e. candidate should be born between 02 Oct 1999 and 01 Oct 2006 (both dates inclusive). Relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and other categories will be applicable as per Central Govt rules.
Educational Qualification – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized board and NSQF level-1 Course in food production or kitchen from National Skill Development Corporation or from the institutes recognised by National Skill Development Corporation.

Selection Process, Physical PET PST and Exam Pattern
ITBP Constable (Kitchen Services) selection process consists of Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Written exam, Documents verification and Medical examination. The date, time and venue of examination for each stage will be indicated in the Admit Card (Call Letter), issued online through official website to all eligible candidates to appear in the recruitment test.
- Phase-1: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Phase-2: Written Test (OMR/ CBT)
- Phase-3: Merit List
- Phase-4: Documents Verification and Medical Examination (DME/ RME)
Before start of PET/ PST, candidates will have to undergo Verification of Identity including Biometric capture. Thereafter candidates will be put through the recruitment tests step by step as follows:
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The PET will be qualifying in nature and no marks will be awarded for the test. PET will not be held for Ex-Servicemen. The events of PET for the Constable (Kitchen Services) are as follows:
Run / Race:
Male candidates – 1.6 Kms within 07 Minutes 30 Seconds.
Female candidates – 800 Meters within 04 Minutes 45 Seconds.
Long Jump:
Male candidates – 11 Feet (03 chances).
Female candidates – 09 Feet (03 chances).
High Jump:
Male candidates – 3½ Feet (03 chances).
Female candidates – 3 Feet (03 chances).

Physical Standard Test (PST)
Candidates qualified in PET will be put through Height, Chest and Weight measurements as per the standards below:
Height:
GEN/ SC/ OBC Category: Male-165 Cms and Female-155 Cms.
Garhwali, Kumaoni, Gorkha, Dogra, Maratha and candidates from Assam, Himachal Pradesh, UT Jammu & Kashmir and UT Ladakh: Male-162.5 Cms and Female-152 Cms.
ST Category: Male-160 Cms and Female-148 Cms.
Candidates (except ST) from the North Eastern States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya: Male-160 Cms and Female-150 Cms.
ST Candidates from the North Eastern States: Male-155 Cms and Female-147 Cms.
Chest (for Male candidates only):
All Categories: 75-80 Cms.
Weight (for Male and Female): Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Written Examination
Candidates qualified in PET/ PST will be called for written exam i.e. OMR based or Computer Based Test (CBT) of maximum 50 Marks. The written exam will be of total 01 Hour duration. The question paper consists of objective type questions on General Awareness/ General Knowledge, Elementary Maths, Analytical Aptitude and General English/ Hindi, as per the pattern below:
- General Awareness/ General Knowledge: 15 Questions (15 Marks)
- Knowledge of Elementary Mathematics: 10 Questions (10 Marks)
- Analytical Aptitude and Ability to observe and distinguish patterns: 15 Questions (15 Marks)
- Basic knowledge in English/ Hindi: 10 Questions (10 Marks)
The minimum cut-off percentage of marks for qualifying in written exam will be 35% for UR/ EWS/ OBC/ Ex-Servicemen and 33% for SC/ ST candidates.
After completion of written exam, category-wise merit list will be prepared separately on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in written examination.
Documents Verification (DV)
Candidates shortlisted in order of written exam merit will be put through verification of original documents. The following documents/ certificates (original with photocopies) will be verified at the time of documentation:
1. Educational Certificates and Course certificates.
2. Date of Birth Certificate (10th mark sheet/ certificate).
3. Professional/ Experience certificate (if any).
4. SC/ ST/ OBC Certificate in prescribed format (as applicable).
5. EWS Certificate in prescribed format (if applicable).
6. Domicile Certificate or PAN or Aadhar Card or Driving License or Voter Card for verification of citizenship.
7. Discharge Certificate (for Ex-Serviceman).
8. Height/ Chest relaxation certificate in prescribed format (if applicable).
9. No Objection Certificate (for serving candidates).
10. Four latest passport size photographs.
Medical Examination (DME/ RME)
Finally, candidates qualified in all the above tests will have to go through Detailed Medical Examination (DME) to assess their fitness as per the Medical Standards. Candidates declared unfit will be allowed to undergo Review Medical Examination (RME).
The minimum distance vision should be 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other eye without correction i.e. without wearing spectacles or lenses. The visual (eye sight) standards for the candidates of all categories are as follows:
Visual Acuity unaided (NEAR VISION): Better eye- N6 and Worse eye- N9.
Uncorrected visual acuity (DISTANT VISION): Better eye- 6/6 and Worse eye- 6/9.
Refraction: Visual correction of any kind is not permitted even by spectacles or lenses.
Color Vision: CP-III by ISIHARA.
In right handed person, the Right eye is better eye and vice versa. Binocular vision is required.
A colour blind person will not be eligible for appointment. The candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess colour perception CP-III and must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Application Form, Important Dates and Notification
Eligible male and female candidates are required to apply online for the ITBP Kitchen Services Constable Recruitment through the website recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in from 02nd Sep to 01st Oct 2024. Before applying online, keep ready your E-mail ID, Mobile number and scanned image of latest photograph (30-100kb) and signature (15-30kb) in jpeg/ jpg format.
For submitting online application form, firstly complete the New User Registration process (if not already registered). Then login to ITBP Recruitment website and complete your profile before applying for Constable (Kitchen Services) through the link given on your profile dashboard.
Finally, after payment of application fee (if applicable), take a printout of the submitted form for further requirements (at the time of PET/PST).
Application fee – The candidates belonging to UR/ EWS/ OBC Category are required to pay Rs 100/- as application fee. The fee can be paid online by using Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card. SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen and Female candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
