Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for SSC in Executive Branch (Logistic and Law Cadre), whereas only Male candidates are eligible for IT Branch/ Cadre.
Age Limit and Educational Qualification
Age Limit:
SSC Logistic – Candidate should be born between 02 Jul 1994 and 01 Jan 2000 (Both dates inclusive)
SSC IT – Candidate should be born between 02 Jul 1994 and 01 Jan 2000 (Both dates inclusive)
SSC Law – Candidate should be born between 02 Jul 1992 and 01 Jul 1997 (Both dates inclusive)
Educational Qualification:
SSC Logistic – BE/ B.Tech in any stream or MBA or B.Sc/ B.Com/ B.Sc (IT) with PG Diploma in Finance/ Logistic/ Supply Chain Management/ Material Management or MCA/ M.Sc (IT) or B.Architecture with minimum 60% Marks (first class).
SSC IT – BE/ B.Tech (Computer Science/ Computer Engg/ IT) or M.Sc (Computer/ IT) or B.Sc (IT) or M.Tech (Computer Science) or BCA/ MCA with minimum 60% Marks.
SSC Law – Degree in Law with minimum 55% Marks qualifying for enrolment as an Advocate.

Physical Standards
Height – Minimum 157 Cms for Male candidates and 152 Cms for Female candidates
Relaxation in Height:
Tribals from Ladakh region and candidates from A&N Islands, Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands – Minimum 155 Cms for Male candidates and 150 Cms for Female candidates
Kumaoni, Garhwali, Gorkhas, Nepali, Assamese and candidates from Bhutan, Sikkim and North East region – Minimum 152 Cms for Male candidates and 147 Cms for Female candidates
Weight – Proportionate to height and age
Indian Navy SSC Selection Procedure
Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for Services Selection Board (SSB) on the basis of cut off marks fixed by IHQ of MoD. Selection for SSB interview & SSB date will be intimated via Email/ SMS to all shortlisted candidates. SSB interviews will be of 05 days and will consist of Stage 1 (Intelligence Test, Picture Perception & Discussion test) and Stage 2 (Psychological testing, Group testing & Interview). The SSB interviews will be conducted at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore/ Visakhapatnam/ Kolkata during November 2018 – March 2019. SSB qualified and medically fit candidates will be selected for training in the order of All India Merit and appointed as officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant.
