Indian Navy Sports Quota Recruitment 02/2024 Batch
Outstanding sportspersons who have participated at International/ Junior or Senior National Championship in the following Games or Sports Disciplines are eligible to apply for the Direct Entry Petty Officer (PO) and Chief Petty Officer (CPO) under Indian Navy Sports Quota 02/2024 Batch:
Sports Disciplines (Male) – Athletics, Aquatics, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Equestrian, Football, Fencing, Artistic Gymnastics, Handball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Squash, Golf, Tennis, Kayaking & Canoeing, Rowing, Shooting and Sailing.
Sports Disciplines (Female) – Athletics, Aquatics, Boxing, Artistic Gymnastics, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Fencing, Kayaking & Canoeing, Rowing, Shooting and Sailing.

Pay Scale and Promotion – Rs 14600/- during training period and on successful completion of initial training, Pay Level 5 for Petty Officers and Pay Level 6 for Chief Petty Officers plus MSP @ Rs 5200/- per month plus DA (as applicable).
Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer-I (equivalent to Subedar Major). Opportunities for promotion to commissioned officer also exist for those who perform well, qualify the prescribed examinations/ selection process and meet the eligibility condition stipulated from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria (Age, Qualification and Sports Proficiency)
Eligibility criteria like age limit, educational qualification and sports proficiency for Indian Navy Sports Quota Recruitment is as follows:
Age Limit – 17½ to 25 years as on the date of commencement of course i.e. candidate should have been born between 01 Nov 1999 and 30 Apr 2007 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification – 12th Pass (10+2) in any stream or equivalent qualification.

Sports Proficiency (Direct Entry Petty Officer):
1. Should be a medalist at Junior/ Senior level by representing State in National competitions or have represented Country at International level (Individual event).
2. Should have represented a State or Country in National or International competitions at Junior/ Senior level (team event).
3. Should be medalist in Khelo India Games and Youth Games or above.
4. Certificates from respective sports authorities (Federations) should accompany the recommendations of the candidates for final selections.
Sports Proficiency (Direct Entry Chief Petty Officer):
1. Winner of any medal in World championship/ Asian championship.
2. Winner of any medal in Asian Games.
3. Winner of any medal in CWG/ World Cup.
4. Represented India twice in Asian Games/ Commonwealth Games/ World Cup.
5. Represented India in Olympics.

Indian Navy Sports Quota Selection Process
Eligible candidates whose application form is found to be in order will be called for selection trials at designated Naval Centers based on higher sports achievements. Call up letters or Admit Card to eligible shortlisted candidates will be sent by Post, indicating date, time and place for selection trial.
Candidates qualified in selection trials will have to undergo medical examination at INS Hamla, Mumbai. Final selection (select list) of candidates will be determined by requirement in particular sports disciplines, qualification and availability of vacancies.
The initial training for the course will be conducted at INS Chilka followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments. Branch/ Trade will be allocated as per the requirement of Service. The initial engagement is subjected to successful completion of training. The initial engagement is of 15 years.
Physical and Medical Standards:
Height – Minimum 157 Cms for male candidates and minimum 152 Cms for female candidates.
Weight – Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
Visual Standards:
Uncorrected vision – 6/12, 6/12
Corrected vision – 6/6, 6/6
Color Perception – II
Candidate should have good mental, medical and physical health free from any disease/ disability, likely to interfere with efficient performance of duties. No Cardio- vascular disease, surgical deformities like knock knee, flat feet etc. Infection of ears, no history of fits or psychiatric ailment, vericose vein, corrective surgery for eye sight etc.
The medical examination will be conducted by authorised military doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry.
Tattoos – Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reversed side of palm/ back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body is not acceptable and candidate will be barred from recruitment.

Eligible and desirous unmarried male and female candidates are required to apply for the Indian Navy Sports Quota Recruitment in the prescribed application form (offline) on A4 size paper by downloading from www.joinindiannavy.gov.in through the direct link below.
Send application form along with self-attested copy of 10th pass certificate (for verification of Date of Birth), 10th Mark sheet, NCC/ Sports certificate (If applicable), Domicile Certificate, 12th certificate & marksheet and 02 self-addressed envelopes of size 22 x 10 Cms with Rs 10/- stamp (affixed on one envelope) by Ordinary Post (application received through speed post/ registered post or couriers will be rejected) addressed to:

Attach the required documents by punching and tying firmly with a strong thread to the application in the sequence below:
- 10th Pass Certificate (for verification of Date of Birth).
- 10th Pass Mark Sheet.
- NCC/ Sports Certificate (as applicable).
- Domicile Certificate.
- 10+2 Certificate along with marksheet.
- Two self-addressed envelopes (size 22 x 10 Cms) with Rs 10/- stamp affixed on one envelope.
- One additional recent coloured passport size photograph (in Blue background) along with candidate’s name and signature on the reverse of the photograph. Computer generated/ digital photographs will not be accepted.
