Indian Army Soldier Nursing Assistant Recruitment 2024-2025

Indian Army invites online applications for filling up the vacancies of Soldier Technical Nursing Assistant (Regular Cadre) for all Zones. Candidates belonging to ZRO Ambala, Lucknow, IRO Delhi, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Jalandhar, Danapur and Shillong can apply online for the Soldier Tech NA Bharti through the website joinindianarmy.nic.in up to 22nd March 2024. Indian Army Nursing Assistant Recruitment 2024-2025 like eligibility, online registration form, selection process, physical (height, chest, weight), rally date, documents, CEE exam syllabus etc info is given below.

Indian Army Soldier Technical Nursing Assistant Bharti

Pay Scale – Pay and allowances will be at the rates and under the conditions applicable to all MP personnel, as revised from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria – Eligibility criteria as age limit and educational qualification for Soldier Technical Nursing Assistant is as follows:

Age Limit – 17½ to 23 years as on 01st Oct 2024 i.e. candidate must be born between 01 October 2001 and 01 April 2007 (both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualification – 12th Pass (10+2)/ Intermediate in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each subject. OR

12th Pass (10+2)/ Intermediate in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each subject.

Selection Process, Physical and Exam Syllabus

Indian Army Soldier Technical Nursing Assistant selection process consists of two phases as Phase-1 (Online CEE) and Phase-2 (Documentation, Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test, Adaptability Test and Medical Examination at recruitment rally venue).

After closing date of online application process, admit card will be issued to eligible candidates to appear for Phase-1 (Online Common Entrance Exam) at Computer Based Test Centres. Thereafter, proportionate to the vacancies available candidates will be shortlisted for Phase-2 (Recruitment Rally) by applying a cut off in written exam result. Candidates will be screened through recruitment rallies which are scheduled to be conducted under all the HQ RTG Zones/ ZROs.

Written Exam (Online CEE)

Firstly, Admit Card indicating exam date, time and venue will be issued for Phase-1 (Online CEE) to all eligible candidates through Join Indian Army website. The exam is scheduled to be conducted from 22nd April 2024. Candidates will have to arrive at the allotted exam centre on respective dates at least 30 Minutes before the reporting time with Aadhar Card and a colour printout of Admit Card.

The online exam will comprise of objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Candidates will have to answer 50 questions in 01 Hour or 100 questions in 02 Hours as per category of application. Negative marking of 25% marks will be applicable in CEE for every attempted wrong answer. The marks obtained by the candidates in Online CEE will be normalised taking into account the variation in difficulty levels of question papers in different sessions.

Soldier Nursing Assistant Syllabus – The latest Sol Tech NA Exam Pattern and Syllabus as provided by the Indian Army is as follows:

General Knowledge (10 Questions): The test will include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography and who’s who. In addition Abbreviations, Sports, Awards and prizes, Terminology, Indian Armed Forces, Continents and Sub Continents, Inventions and Discoveries, the Constitution of Indian, International Organizations, Books and Authors, Knowledge of Important events that have happened in India and at world level in the recent years, Current important world events, Prominent personalities etc.

Physics (05 Questions): Physical Properties and States for Matter, Mass, Weight, Volume, Density and Specific Gravity, Principle of Archimedes, Pressure Barometer, Motion of objects, Velocity and Acceleration, Newtons Laws of Motion, Force and Momentum, Parallelogram of Forces, Stability and Equilibrium of bodies, Gravitation, elementary ideas of work, Power and Energy, Heat and its Effects, Sound waves and their properties, Reflection and refraction. Spherical mirrors and Lenses, Type and properties of magnet, Static and Current Electricity, conductors and Non-conductors, Ohms Law, simple Electrical Circuits, Heating.

Mathematics (05 Questions): Algebra, Matrices & Determinants, Analytical Geometry, Trigonometry, Integral Calculus, Differential Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Number Systems, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Mensuration, Area, Volume and Surface Area.

Chemistry (15 Questions): Physical and Chemical changes. Elements, Mixtures and Compounds, Symbols, Formulae and simple Chemical Equations, Law of Chemical Combination, Properties of Air and Water, Preparation and Properties of Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen and Carbondioxide, Oxidation and Reduction, Acids, bases and Salts, Carbon and its forms, Natural and Artificial Fertilizers, Elementary ideas about the Structure of Atom, Atomic, Equivalent and Molecular Weights, Valency.

Biology (15 Questions): Basic Biology, Life process, Study of Birds, Human Beings, Uniqueness of human body, Food and Health, Necessity of balanced diet, Wasteful Food Practices, Food Yield, Essentials for good health, Cycles of materials, Ecological balance, Living resources, Habitat and Organisms, Adaptation.

Note: The above syllabus is not a comprehensive list of topics pertaining to the subject. Questions are designed to test the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observation and experience as may be expected of an educated person. At times questions may be asked other than the above topics but definitely within the syllabus of CBSE.

Bonus Marks in Written Exam (CEE):
Only one ward (son) of Service/ Ex-Servicemen/ War Widow/ Widow of Ex-servicemen can avail bonus marks in the written exam. Bonus marks will be accorded on qualifying in the written examination. Only one type of Bonus Marks can be availed on producing the Original Certificate. Maximum bonus marks that can be given is 20 Marks even if a candidates qualifies for more than one type of bonus marks.

Bonus marks in Written Exam (CEE) will be awarded as follows:

Son of Serviceman (SOS), Son of Ex-Serviceman (SOEX), Son of War Widow (SOWW), Son of Widow (SOW), Adoption done during lifetime of a Soldier (one son only) – 20 Marks

Sportsmen:

  • Represented India at the International Level: 20 Marks
  • Represented State at the Senior/Junior National level: 15 Marks
  • Represented College/ University in Inter University Championship: 10 Marks
  • Represented State at National Level: 10 Marks
  • Represented District at the State Level: 05 Marks
  • Represented State school team in All India School Games: 05 Marks

National Cadet Corps (NCC):

  • NCC A Certificate Holders – 05 Marks
  • NCC B Certificate Holders – 10 Marks
  • NCC C Certificate Holders – 15 Marks
  • NCC C Certificate and participated in Republic Day Parade – 20 Marks

After completion of Phase-1, Written Exam (Online CEE) Result will be declared through the official website. The roll number of the candidates who are in merit will be issued Admit Card for Phase-2 (Recruitment rally) as per the Schedule of ZROs.

Recruitment Rally

Candidates shortlisted in Phase-1 will have to report on the respective date and time for Phase-2 (Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test and Medical Examination) at the designated rally venue with following document/ certificate in original along with 02 attested photocopies:

  • Admit Card (printed on Laser Printer on good quality paper).
  • 20 passport size colour photographs (not more than 03 months old).
  • 10th/ 12th/ Higher Education certificates and marks sheets. Candidates with matric certificate from Open School should bring School Leaving Certificate countersigned by BEO/DEO.
  • Domicile certificate with photograph issued by Tehsildar/ District Magistrate.
  • Caste certificate with photograph issued by Tehsildar/ District Magistrate.
  • Religion Certificate issued by the Tehsildar/ SDM (if religion as “SIKH/ HINDU/ MUSLIM/ CHRISTIAN” is not mentioned in caste certificate).
  • School Character certificate issued by the School/ College Principal/ Headmaster.
  • Character Certificate with photograph issued by Village Sarpanch/ Municipal Corporation within last 06 months.
  • Unmarried certificate (for candidates below the age of 21 years) with photograph issued by Village Sarpanch/ Municipal Corporation within last 06 months.
  • NCC A/ B/ C/ Republic Day Parade certificate with photograph of the candidate duly attested by issuing authority (if any).
  • Relationship Certificate issued from respective Record Office (if applicable).
  • Sports Certificate (for Sportsman).
  • Affidavit (in the prescribed format) duly signed by candidate on Rs 10/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper duly attested by notary.
  • Certificates for Bonus Marks (if applicable)
  • PAN Card and Aadhar Card.
  • Police Character Certificate.
  • Sarpanch/ Nagar Sewak (Residence Proof).

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

1.6 Km Run – Up to 05 Minutes 45 Seconds (Need to qualify)
Beam (Pull Ups) – Need to qualify
09 Feet Ditch – Need to qualify
Zig Zag Balance – Need to qualify

1.6 Km run may take place on Road/ Hard surface due to weather condition. All candidates are advised to use suitable running footwear (shoes) for 1.6 Km run and practice accordingly for the recruitment rally.

Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

Height: See detailed physical standards
Chest: 77 Cms (+5 Cms expansion)
Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per Army medical standards.

Relaxation in Physical Standards:
Outstanding Sportsmen (National/ State & those who represented District, College/ School State/ University/ Board Championship): Height – 02 Cms, Chest – 03 Cms and Weight – 05 Kgs.
An eligible candidate can be granted prescribed relaxations in all three measurements i.e, height, chest and weight.

Adaptability Test

Candidates qualified in the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT) will have to undergo Adaptability Test as per policy in vogue. Adaptability Test is for selection of candidates who can adapt to the environment of the Indian Army and are able to adapt to the challenges of military life.

Nursing Assistant candidates qualified in the Adaptability Test will be eligible for medical exam and further recruitment process. Those candidates who do not qualify the Adaptability Test will not be allowed for further participation in recruitment process. Candidates will be allowed to carry their Smart Phones for the duration of Adaptability Test.

Medical Examination

Medical examination of candidates who qualify in Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test and Adaptability Test will be conducted by Army Medical Team at the Recruitment Rally site as per Army Medical Standards and policy in vogue. Unfit candidates will be referred to Military Hospital for specialist review.

Candidates must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disability likely to interfere with the efficient performance of military duty in all weather and across all terrains. Candidates should have proper haircut and clean shaven (beard, chest hair, auxiliary hair and pubic hair with crew hair cut).

Online Registration, Important Dates and Notification

Eligible and interested candidates can submit online application form for the Indian Army Nursing Assistant Recruitment through the official website joinindianarmy.nic.in up to 22nd March 2024. Before submitting the Soldier NA Application form, candidates will have to complete the one time registration process (if not registered already). Thereafter you can submit online application form using your Registration ID and Password.
