Eligibility Criteria (Age and Educational Qualification)
Age Limit – 18 to 25 years (18 to 27 years for MT Driver, Lab Attendant and GC Orderly) as on application closing date (Relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable as per Govt rules).
Educational Qualification:
Cook Special and Cook IT – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board and knowledge of Indian Cooking with proficiency in the trade.
MT Driver – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board and must have Civilian Driving Licence for heavy vehicles with 02 years experience of driving heavy vehicles.
Boot Maker and Equipment Repairer – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board and candidate should be able to carry out all canvas, textile and leather repair & replacement of the equipment and boots.
Lower Division Clerk (LDC) – 12th Pass (10+2) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board and English Typing with minimum speed of 35 words per minute or Hindi Typing with minimum speed of 30 words per minute on computer. 35 words per minute and 30 words per minute correspond to 10500 KDPH/ 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.
Masalchi, Waiter, MTS Safaiwala, Chowkidar, Barber and Messenger – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board and candidate should be conversant with the duties of relevant trade. One year experience in the trade is desirable.
Bicycle Repairer – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board and candidate should be fully conversant with the trade with minimum 02 years experience in the trade.
Fatigueman, Groundsman, GC Orderly and Groom – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board and candidate must be conversant with the duties of relevant trade.
Lab Attendant – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification with Science as a compulsory subject from a recognized School/ Board.

IMA Dehradun Group C Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The selection process will consist of Written Exam and Skill Test (as applicable). The recruitment tests will be conducted at IMA Dehradun (Uttarakhand). Date and time for the written test/ skill test for all posts will be intimated in the Admit Card (Call letter) only to individuals whose applications received through Registered Post/ Speed Post and are found correct in all respects after scrutiny by the Commandant, IMA.
Only 50 candidates per post will be called for the written exam based on percentage of marks obtained in the minimum education qualification required for the respective posts. Similarly 10 candidates per post will be called for skill test.
Written Examination (for all trades):
The written exam question paper for all the posts (except LDC) will be of 10th Standard, while 12th Standard for LDC posts. The written exam will be of 02 Hours duration and will consist of total 150 objective type multiple choice questions (01 Mark each) of maximum 150 Marks as per the syllabus below.
General Intelligence and Reasoning – 25 Questions (25 Marks)
General Awareness – 50 Questions (50 Marks)
General English – 50 Questions (50 Marks)
Numerical Aptitude – 25 Questions (25 Marks)
For selection, trade and category wise final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in written examination and skill test wherever applicable.

Application Form, Required Documents and Notification
Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the IMA Dehradun Group C Bharti Civilian Defence Vacancies in the prescribed application form by downloading directly through the link below. Send application form complete in all respect along with the following required documents through Registered Post/ Speed Post (through Indian Postal Service only) to the “Commandant, Indian Military Academy, Dehradun” so as to reach on or before the closing date.
Envelope containing application must be superscribed in capital letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ………………”. The reserved category candidate including ex-serviceman and PH should also write their category on the left hand corner of the envelope.
Application fee:
Candidates will have to pay Rs 50/- as application fee through Crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) in favour of the Commandant, Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. The postal order should be issued on or after the date of publication of the advertisement. SC, ST, OBC, PH, Ex-serviceman and EWS candidates are exempted from application fee.
Required Documents (Self-attested):
1. Date of birth certificate.
2. Valid Caste certificate (for SC/ ST/ OBC).
3. Educational qualification certificates and marks sheets.
4. Experience certificate (if any).
5. Discharge certificate (for Ex-serviceman).
6. Disability certificate for physically Handicapped issued by CMO/ Civil Surgeon of Govt Hospital.
7. Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Certificate (if applicable).
8. Two additional self attested passport size photographs.
9. ID Proof (preferably Aadhar Card).
10. Two self addressed envelopes (size 9″x4″) with Rs 5/- postal stamp affixed on each.
11. Postal Order for application fee (if applicable).
