CISF Driver and DCPO Selection Process 2025

CISF Constable Driver and DCPO selection tests will be conducted at respective recruitment centers. Candidates whose application forms are found to be in order will be issued Admit Card through the website cisfrectt.cisf.gov.in. The CISF Driver/ DCPO Selection process consists of various tests as follows:

  • Height Bar Test (HBT)
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Physical Standard Test (PST)
  • Documentation (DV)
  • Trade Test (Driving Test)
  • Written Examination (OMR/ CBT)
  • Medical Examination (DME/ RME)

CISF Constable Driver Selection Procedure

The selection process for the posts of CISF Constable/ Driver and Constable/ DCPO consists of the following three stages:

Stage-1: PET/ PST, Documentation and Trade Test.


Stage-2: OMR/ CBT mode written examination.
Stage-3: Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Review Medical Examination (RME).

Note: The sequence of the first two stages i.e. PET/PST, Documentation & Trade Test and Written Examination is subject to change due to administrative reasons.

Biometric credentials (LTI/ RTI/ Fingers Impression) of all candidates will be registered before conduct of PET/ PST, Documentation and Trade Test which will be used in all further stages of recruitment process.

Exam date, time and place of each stage test will be indicated in CISF Driver Admit Card issued online through the official website. Candidates are required to carry admit card, 04 passport size recent colour photographs duly printed the date (not more than 03 months old), original valid Photo-ID proof (Aadhar Card, Voter ID Card, Driving License, PAN Card etc.) at the venue.

The latest and detailed selection process of CISF Driver and DCPO (Driver-Cum-Pump-Operator) (i.e. Driver for fire services) is as follows (step by step):

Height Bar Test (HBT)

Firstly, candidates will be put through Height Bar Test (HBT). Qualified candidates in Height Bar Test will be further put through Physical Standard Test (PST).

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates qualified in Height Bar Test will have to go through Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The PET will be of qualifying in nature and it will not carry any marks. The PET consists of Run, Long Jump and High Jump events as follows:

  • Run/ Race: 800 Meters within 03 Minutes 15 Seconds
  • Long Jump: 11 Feet in 03 chances
  • High Jump: 03 Feet 06 Inches in 03 chances

Physical Standard Test (PST)

Candidates qualified in Height Bar Test and PET will be allowed for Physical Standard Test (PST). CISF Driver Height, Chest and Weight (Physical Standards) will be measured as follows:

Physical Standards:

GEN, SC and OBC Candidates – Height: 167 Cms and Chest: 80-85 Cms.

Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir – Height: 160 Cms and Chest: 78-83 Cms.

ST Candidates – Height: 160 Cms and Chest: 76-81 Cms.

Weight (For all candidates) – Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.

Documentation

Candidates qualified in PET/PST will be allowed to appear for Documentation (checking of original documents). In this stage candidates will have to produce all original documents/ certificates (with self-attested photocopies) in proof of details as given in the application form. The following documents are required for verification at the time of DV:

1. Educational certificates.
2. Date of birth certificate (10th pass certificate).
3. SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS certificate.
4. Valid HMV, LMV and Motorcycle with gear Driving License.
5. Experience certificate (if any).
6. Domicile/ PRC certificate.
7. ID proof (PAN/ Aadhar/ Driving License/ Voter ID etc).
8. Discharge certificate (for Ex-Serviceman).
9. Height and Chest Relaxation certificate (if applicable).
10. Four passport size recent photographs duly printed the date of photograph (i.e. not more than 03 months old from the date of publication of CISF Constable Driver Notification).

Trade Test (Driving Test)

Candidates qualified in PET/PST and Documentation will have to undergo Trade Test (Driving Test) of qualifying in nature. The trade test consists of the following tests:

  • Driving test for light vehicle (50 Marks): 25 Marks required to qualify
  • Driving test for heavy vehicle (50 Marks): 25 Marks required to qualify
  • Practical knowledge of motor mechanism and ability to carry out minor repair of vehicles (30 Marks): 15 Marks required to qualify

Written Examination

Candidates qualified in the PET, PST, Documentation and Trade Test will be allowed to appear in the Written Test (OMR)/ Computer Based Test (CBT).

Driver Exam Syllabus/ Pattern – CISF Driver exam will be of 02 Hours duration and will consist of total 100 objective type questions of maximum 100 Marks (01 mark each). The question paper will be set both in Hindi and English. There will be no negative marking. The questions will be of 10th standard based on the following topics:

  • General Awareness/ General Knowledge: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
  • Knowledge of Elementary Mathematics: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
  • Analytical Aptitude: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
  • Ability to Observe and Distinguish: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
  • Basic knowledge of English/ Hindi: 20 Questions (20 Marks)

CISF Driver Answer Key (Tentative) of the Written Examination (OMR/CBT) will be uploaded on the official website after completion of the examination. Candidates may go through the Answer Keys and submit online representations, if any.

Minimum cut-off marks for qualifying in written exam:
GEN/ Ex-Servicemen – 35% Marks
SC/ ST/ OBC – 33% Marks

Medical Examination (DME/ RME)

Candidates declared qualified (two times of vacancies in each category) in written exam will be called for Detailed Medical Examination (DME). The candidates will be medically examined by the Medical Boards to assess their physical and medical fitness. Candidates declared unfit during DME will be allowed to undergo Review Medical Examination (RME).

The candidate must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose vein and squint in eyes. The candidate must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Eye Sight:

Visual Acuity unaided (Near Vision): Better eye- N6 and Worse eye- N6.
Uncorrected visual acuity (Distant Vision): Better eye- 6/6 and Worse eye- 6/6.
Refraction: Visual correction of any kind is not permitted even by glasses.
Colour Vision: CP II by ISIHARA.

Tattoos – Tattoo depicting religious symbol or figures and the name, as followed in Indian Army are to be permitted. Tattoo marked on traditional sites of the body like inner aspect of forearm, but only left forearm, being non saluting limb or dorsum of the hands are to be allowed. The size must be less than ¼ of the particular part (Elbow or Hand) of the body.

Merit List

Finally, post and category wise merit lists (result) will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination and number of vacancies allotted to each post. Allotment to the post of Constable Driver and Constable DCPO will be on the basis of merit-cum-preference.
