Eligibility Criteria (Age and Educational Qualification)
Age Limit (As on 26.07.2021):
Assistant Sub Inspector – Below 28 years
Constable – 20 to 25 Years
Educational Qualification:
ASI (Assistant Aircraft Mechanic) – 03 years Diploma in the relevant trade recognized by the Directorate General Civil Aviation OR Group X Diploma issued by the Indian Air Force. Preferably 02 years relevant aviation experience after completion of Diploma course.
ASI (Assistant Radio Mechanic) – 03 years Diploma recognized by the Directorate General Civil Aviation in Telecommunication/ Electronic Engineering OR Group X Radio Diploma issued by the Indian Air Force. Preferably 02 years experience in maintenance or overhauling of communication or Navigation equipment fitted in Aircraft or Helicopter held by Border Security Force.
Constable (Storeman) – 10th Pass (Matriculation) with Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board. Candidate must have 02 years working experience in store or ware housing of any Government or Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Organization or any company or private firm or Institution. Working knowledge in computer or having prior aviation experience is preferable.

BSF Air Wing Selection Process, Exam Syllabus and Physical PST PET
The selection process for ASI (AAM and ARM) will consist of 1st Phase (Written Exam) and 2nd Phase (Documentation, Physical Standard Test/ PST, Physical Efficiency Test/ PET and Medical Examination).
While the selection process for Constable (Storeman) will consist of 1st Phase (Physical Standard Test/ PST and Physical Efficiency Test/ PET), 2nd Phase (Written Exam) and 3rd Phase (Documentation and Medical Examination).
AAM (ASI) and ARM (ASI) Recruitment Exam
First Phase (Written Examination) – In the 1st phase of AAM (ASI)/ ARM (ASI) exam, all eligible candidates will be called to appear in OMR based written exam scheduled on the date and time fixed by the department at the selected exam centers. The question paper will be of total 02 Hours duration and will comprise of 100 objective type multiple choice questions (1 mark each) based on General Awareness, General English, Numerical Aptitude and Technical Subject. The qualifying marks for written exam will be 50% for General/ EWS/ OBC candidates and 45% for SC/ ST candidates.

Second Phase (Documentation, PST, PET and Medical Examination) – Candidates qualified in First Phase (Written exam) will be allowed to appear for the Second Phase tests (Documentation, PST, PET and Medical Examination) as per the details below:
Documentation – Original testimonials/ certificates like age, educational/ technical qualification, caste certificate, experience certificate etc will be checked to confirm the eligibility of the candidates at the Centre on the date and time (intimated through Email/ SMS) fixed by the department.
Physical Standard Test (PST) – Candidates qualified in the Documentation will be put through the Physical Standards Test (PST). It will be carried out by the selection Board to assess the height, weight and chest of candidates according to the physical standards as given below:
Height – Male: 165 Cms (Relaxable by 05 Cms for Hill Tribes & Adivasis) and Female: 150 Cms.
Chest (Only for male) – 76-80 Cms (Relaxable by 02 Cms for candidates below 20 years of age).
Weight – Proportionate to height as per medical standards.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Candidates qualified in the Physical Standards Test (PST) will be put through Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of qualifying in nature. Candidates are required to qualify the following events:
Male Candidates:
1 Mile Race – 08 Minutes
Standing Broad Jump – 4 Feet 6 Inch
Clear the Ditch – 6 Feet
Jump and reach – 7 Feet (Excluding 1 feet reach)
Female Candidates:
1 Mile Race – 12 Minutes

Clear the Ditch – 4 Feet

Medical Examination – Candidates qualified in Written exam, Documentation, PST and PET will undergo detailed medical examination, which will be carried out by a Medical board to assess their medical fitness.
Finally, for selection as AAM (ASI)/ ARM (ASI), post wise and category wise merit list will be drawn separately on the basis of marks secured/ obtained by the candidates in the written examination.
Constable (Storeman) Recruitment Exam

Online Application Form, Important Dates and Notification
Eligible and interested candidates will have to register and submit online application form for the BSF Air Wing Recruitment ASI and Constable Bharti through rectt.bsf.gov.in up to 26 July 2021.
Before applying online, keep ready educational qualification details, email Id, mobile number and scanned copies of passport size photograph, signature, thumb Impression and supporting documents. The digital size of photograph, signature, thumb impression and documents should not be more than 50 KB. To apply online for the BSF Air Wing Bharti, follow the important instructions below:
STEP 1 (One Time Registration) – Firstly go to the One Time Registration (OTR) Page and submit the required details as personal information, address, qualification, work experience, certificate/ document and other details. Thereafter a Registration ID and Password will be generated and sent to you through the registered Email Id and Mobile number.
STEP 2 (Filling of Online Application) – Now go to the Login Page and login to the recruitment portal using your Registration ID and Password (generated in Step 1). Fill the application form with all the required details and upload photograph, signature, thumb impression and supporting documents.
STEP 3 (Payment of Application fee) – Finally, pay the application fee (if applicable) through online mode using Net banking, Debit Card, Credit Card and nearest Common Service Centre. Thereafter take a print out of online application form for record/ reference. Printout of application form is not required to be sent to BSF.
