Indian Army has released a recruitment notification for filling up the following Group C Vacancies (Defence Civilian) for Bihar Regimental Centre (BRC) Danapur. Age Limit (All Posts) – 18 to 25 years as on closing date of receipt of application (relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ ST/ OBC will be applicable as per Govt rules).

Educational Qualification:
Cook – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board and candidate must have knowledge of Indian Cooking with proficiency in the trade.

Washerman – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board and candidate must be able to wash military/ civilian clothes thoroughly well.

Barber – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board with proficiency in Barber’s Trade Job. As a desirable qualification, candidate should have 01 year experience in the trade.

Safaiwala – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board. As a desirable qualification, candidate should be conversant with the duties of Safaiwala with 01 year experience in the trade.

Carpenter – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board with certificate from Industrial Training Institute or National Council of Vocational Training in the trade or 03 years experience as a Carpenter.

Bihar Regiment Group C Bharti Process and Exam Syllabus

The selection process will consist of Written test/ Trade test. Candidates whose application is found to be correct and who are eligible for written test and trade test will be called through Admit Card. In case of large number of applications received, the number of candidates may be restricted to 10% of total applications received for posts in each category on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed minimum essential qualifications.

Candidates qualified in written exam will have to undergo trade test (as applicable). The recruitment tests will be conducted at The Bihar Regimental Centre Danapur Cantt. Exam date, time and venue for written test for the Tradesman posts will be intimated through Admit Card (Call letter).

Written Examination – The written test will consist of objective type multiple choice questions of Class 10th standard. The written exam will be of 02 Hours duration consisting of total 150 objective type questions (01 Mark each) of maximum 150 Marks. The question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) and will comprise of questions based on General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, General English and Numerical Aptitude as per the syllabus below:

General Intelligence and Reasoning – 25 Questions (25 Marks)
Numerical Aptitude – 25 Questions (25 Marks)
General English – 50 Questions (50 Marks)
General Awareness – 50 Questions (50 Marks)

Written Examination Syllabus:
General Intelligence and Reasoning – The test will include questions of non verbal type and may include questions on analogies, similarities and difference, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision marking, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series. The test will also include question designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical function.

General Awareness – The question will be designed to test: the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society, knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects. The test also includes questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution and Scientific research etc.

Numerical Aptitude – The test will include questions on problems relating to Number systems, Computation of whole numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical Operation, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Table and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and distance, Ratio & Time, Time and work etc.

General English – The questions will be designed to test candidate’s understanding the Basic of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms and its correct usage, writing ability etc.

For selection, final merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in written test subject to qualifying the trade/ practical test (as applicable), medical fitness test, police verification, education and caste verification. On final selection, the candidate will be liable for All India Service Liabilities.

Send application form complete in all respect along with the following required documents through Registered/ Speed Post to the “Commandant, The Bihar Regimental Centre, Danapur (Bihar), PIN-801503” so as to reach on or before the closing date.

Envelope containing application must be superscribed in Capital letters on the top as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _____________”. SC/ ST/ OBC candidates, write their category on the left hand corner of the envelope.

Required documents – Self-attested photocopies of the following documents/ certificates must be attached with the application form:
1. Educational qualification/ technical qualification certificate.
2. Medical Certificate from a registered medical practitioner for physical standards.
3. Any Employment Exchange registration certificate.
4. Date of birth certificate (10th Pass certificate/ marksheet).
5. ITI/ NCVT certificate (as applicable).
6. Experience certificate (as applicable).
7. Caste certificate.
8. Latest/ Valid ‘Non Creamy Layer Certificate’ (for OBC candidates).
9. One self-addressed envelope (size 12 Cms x 18 Cms) affixed with Rs 25 postage stamp.
10. Additional photographs.
