Assam Rifles invited applications for the following 215 Vacancies of Technical and Tradesman (Group B & C) in Naib Subedar, Havildar, Warrant Officer and Rifleman rank. All eligible candidates can apply online for the AR Technical and Tradesman Vacancies of Radio Mechanic, Religious Teacher, Vehicle Mechanic, Draughtsman, Electrical and Mechanical, Plumber, Safai etc through www.assamrifles.gov.in from 22 Feb to 22 Mar 2025. Assam Rifles Tradesman/ Technical 2025-2026

Pay Scale (Salary) – Pay scale and other allowances will be admissible as per the pay scale applicable to the Assam Rifles Personnel.

Total Number of Vacancies – 215 Posts

Assam Rifles Group B Posts – Naib Subedar (Electrical and Mechanical, Religious Teacher).

Assam Rifles Group C Posts – Havildar (X Ray Assistant), Warrant Officer (Radio Mechanic, Draughtsman, Operation Theatre Technician, Pharmacist and Veterinary Field Assistant) and Rifleman (Lineman Field, Engineer Equipment Mechanic, Recovery Vehicle Mechanic, Upholster, Vehicle Mechanic fitter, Plumber and Safai).

Religious Teacher (RT) – 03 Vacancies

The number of vacancies may increase or decrease. 10% vacancies are reserved for Ex-servicemen or ESM. All three Armed Forces i.e. Indian Army, Navy and Air Force of the Union will be treated as Ex-Servicemen. Eligibility Criteria (Age and Qualification)

Age Limit (As on 01st Jan 2025):

Lineman Field, Engineer Equipment Mechanic, Electrician Mechanic Vehicle, Upholster, Vehicle Mechanic Fitter, Plumber, OTT, X-Ray Assistant and Safai – 18 to 23 years.
Radio Mechanic, Recovery Vehicle Mechanic and Draughtsman – 18 to 25 years.
Naib Subedar (Religious Teacher) – 18 to 30 years.
Pharmacist – 20 to 25 years
Warrant Officer (Veterinary Field Assistant) – 21 to 23 years.

Note: Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Serving Assam Rifles personnel/ Ex-Serviceman will be applicable as per Govt rules.

Educational Qualification:

Naib Subedar (Religious Teacher) – Graduation with Madhyama in Sanskrit or Bhusan in Hindi.

Naib Subedar (Electrical & Mechanical) – Bachelor Degree in Electrical and Mechanical or Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

Warrant Officer (Radio Mechanic) – 10th Pass from a recognized board with diploma in Radio and Television Technology/ Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Computer/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering/ Domestic appliances from any institution recognized by the Central/ State Govt. OR 12h Pass (Intermediate) or equivalent with aggregate marks of 50% with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board.

Warrant Officer (Draughtsman) – 12th Pass (10+2) or equivalent from a recognised board and 03 years diploma in Architectural Assistantship from any recognized Polytechnic College or Institution.

Warrant Officer (Veterinary Field Assistant) – 12th Pass (10+2) and 02 years Diploma certificate in Veterinary Science from any recognized university or institution with 01 year experience.

Warrant Officer (Operation Theatre Technician) – 12th Pass (10+2) or equivalent and Diploma in Operation Theatre Technician from a recognized Board or University.

Warrant Officer (Pharmacist) – 12th Pass (10+2) or equivalent and Degree/ Diploma in Pharmacy from any recognized Institution of the Central/ State Govt.

Rifleman (Lineman Field, Engineer Equipment Mechanic, Recovery Vehicle Mechanic, Upholster, Vehicle Mechanic Fitter and Plumber) – 10h Pass from a recognized Board with Industrial Training Institute certificate in relevant trade from a recognized institute.

Rifleman (Safai) – 10th Pass (Matriculation) from a recognised Board.

GEN/ SC/ OBC Candidates – Height: 170 Cms and Chest: 80-85 Cms.
Garhwali, Kumaoni, Gorkha, Dogra, Maratha and candidates from Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Leh and Ladakh – Height: 165 Cms and Chest: 78-83 Cms.
ST Candidates – Height: 162.5 Cms and Chest: 76-81 Cms.

Physical Standard Test for Warrant Officer (Pharmacist):

GEN/ SC/ OBC Candidates – Male: 170 Cms and Female: 157 Cms.
Garhwali, Kumaoni, Gorkha, Dogra, Maratha and candidates from NE States, HP and Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh – Male: 165 Cms and Female: 155 Cms.
ST Candidates – Male: 162.5 Cms and Female: 150 Cms.

Chest (Only for male candidates):
Gen/ SC/ OBC Candidates – 80-85 Cms.

Physical Standard Test for Rifleman (Recovery Vehicle Mechanic):

GEN/ SC/ OBC Candidates – Height: 170 Cms and Chest: 80-85 Cms.
Garhwali, Kumaoni, Gorkha, Dogra, Maratha and candidates from Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, HP and Jammu and Kashmir – Height: 165 Cms and Chest: 78-83 Cms.
ST Candidates – Height: 162.5 Cms and Chest: 76-81 Cms.
ST Candidates from Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and left Wing Extremism affected districts – Height: 160 Cms and Chest: 77-82 Cms.

Note: Chest standard will be applicable for male candidates only. Weight should be proportionate to height and age as per medical standards (for male and female candidates).

Selection Process, PET, Written and Trade Test Pattern

Assam Rifles Recruitment Rally is scheduled to be organized from 03rd/ 04th week of April 2025 onwards at Sukhovi (Nagaland) centre. The selection process for Assam Rifles Tradesman and Technical posts consists of Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Exam, Trade/ Skill Test and Medical Examination. All the information about PST, PET, Written test etc of the bharti rally will be intimated to candidates through Official website/ Email/ SMS.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

Male candidates – 05 Kms run within 24 Minutes.
Female candidates – 1.6 Kms run within 8.30 Minutes.
Ladakh Region (Male Candidates – 1.6 Kms run within 7.00 minutes and Female Candidates – 800 meters run within 5.00 minutes).

Trade Test (Skill Test) – The Trade Test (Skill Test) of technical and tradesman posts will be conducted after the completion of PET/PST. No marks will be awarded for trade (skill) test. The candidates declared pass in the trade (skill) test will only be allowed to appear in the Written Test. The Trade Test (Skill Test) will be qualifying in nature.

Written Test – Assam Rifles Bharti question paper will be of maximum 100 marks. Minimum pass marks for GEN/ EWS candidates will be 35% and 33% marks for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates. The written exam will be conducted at Sukhovi (Nagaland) centre.

Bonus marks to NCC Certificate holders:
NCC C Certificate – 05 Marks
NCC B Certificate – 03 Marks
NCC A Certificate – 02 Marks
The benefit to NCC Certificate holders will only be given on production of the original certificate at the time of document verification.

Final selection of the candidates will depend upon the merit list according to the availability of vacancies against the particular State/ Category/ Trade. Candidates will be considered for recruitment in their respective State/UT on production of valid Domicile or Permanent Residential Certificate by the Competent Authority.

Application form, Important Dates and Notification

Eligible and desirous candidates are required to apply online for the Assam Rifles Tradesman Technical Recruitment Rally. You can submit the online application form through www.assamrifles.gov.in from 22 Feb to 22 Mar 2025. Provide all the required details such as name, date of birth, gender, marital status, aadhaar number, identification marks, category, mobile number, email id, educational qualification, address etc correctly while submitting the online form.

After successful registration of online form take a print out of the computer generated application form for further requirements. Candidates will have to produce the printed copy of online application form duly completed, a copy of Admit Card/ Call Letter (downloaded from the official website) and a copy of official recruitment notification at the time of PST/ PET.

Application fee:

Group B Posts (Religious Teacher, Electrical and Mechanical) – Rs 200/-
All Other Posts (Group C) – Rs 100/-

The application fee can be deposited through online mode or through challan by depositing into SBI Current Account No. 37088046712 in favour of HQ DGAR, Recruitment Branch, Shillong-10 at SBI Laitkor Branch IFSC Code – SBIN0013883. Candidates will have to produce original copy of payment receipt/ challan at the time of PST/ PET for official records. SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen and Female candidates are not required to submit the fee.
