Indian Army, ARO Almora has invited applications from candidates belonging to Almora, Bageshwar, Nainital and US Nagar districts for Agniveer and Regular Cadre Recruitment. ARO Almora Army Uttarakhand Bharti 2025-2026

Candidates belonging to ARO Almora have to submit online application form for Agniveer (GD, Technical, Clerk/SKT, Tradesmen and Women Military Police) and Regular Cadre (Soldier Nursing Assistant, Sepoy Pharma, Havildar SAC, Havildar Education, JCO RT and JCO Catering) from 12th March to 10th April 2025. Thereafter, candidates declared qualified and shortlisted in Phase-1 (CEE) can appear in Phase-2 (Recruitment Rally).

In Uttarakhand (under HQ RTG Zone Lucknow), Indian Army bharti for the Kumaon Region (Kumaon Regiment) is conducted by ARO Almora & ARO Pithoragarh and for the Garhwal Region (Garhwal Rifles) it is conducted by ARO Lansdowne.

In the Kumaon Region, recruitment rally for the 04 districts Almora, Bageshwar, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar is conducted under ARO Almora, whereas rally for the remaining 02 districts Champawat and Pithoragarh of Kumaon Region is conducted under ARO Pithoragarh.

In the Garhwal Region, Bharti rally for the 07 districts (Chamoli, Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri Garhwal, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal and Uttarkashi) is conducted under ARO Lansdowne.

ARO Almora Agniveer Recruitment:

As per the recruitment notification released by the Indian Army, Bharti rally for Agniveer GD, Technical, Clerk/SKT, Tradesmen (10th Pass) and Tradesmen (8th Pass) will be conducted by ARO Almora at Ranikhet after Phase-1 (Online CEE). As per the Agnipath Scheme, candidates under Agniveer category will be initially enrolled as Agniveer GD, Clerk/SKT, Technical, Tradesmen and WMP in the Indian Army for the service of 04 Years. Later on completion of 04 years of service, based on organizational requirements and policies, 25% Agniveer will be selected in Regular cadre as Soldier GD, Clerk/SKT, Technical, Tradesmen and WMP (Women Military Police).

Eligibility Criteria (Age and Educational Qualification)

Age Limit (Agniveer Category) – 17½ Years to 21 Years as on the 01st October 2025 i.e. candidate must be born between 01 Oct 2004 to 01 Apr 2008 (both days inclusive).

Educational Qualification:

Agniveer (General Duty) – 10th Pass (Matriculation) with 45% Marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For boards following grading system, minimum of D Grade (33% – 40%) in individual subjects or equivalent of grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate in C2 Grade or equivalent corresponding to 45% in aggregate.

Candidates with valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving License will be given preference for Driver requirements.

Agniveer (Technical) – 12th Pass/ 10+2/ Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% Marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject. ITI or Diploma holders will also be eligible for Agniveer (Technical) entry. OR

12th Pass/ 10+2/ Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths & English from any recognized State/ Central Education Board including NIOS and ITI course of minimum 01 year in required field with NSQF level 4 or above. OR

10th Pass/ Matric with 50% Marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in English, Maths and Science with 02 years of Technical Training from ITI or 02/03 years Diploma from recognised educational institution including polytechnics.

Agniveer (Clerk/SKT) – 12th Pass/ 10+2/ Intermediate Exam Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% Marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in Class 12th is mandatory.

Typing test for candidates appearing for Agniveer Office Asst/ SKT will be carried out during the online CEE wherein 30 words per min (wpm) in English during the test is desirable. Only those candidates who qualify the typing test will be eligible for Phase-2 of the recruitment process.

Agniveer Tradesmen (10th Pass) – Class 10th simple pass and no stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored in 33% in each subject.

Agniveer Tradesmen (8th Pass) – Class 8th simple pass and no stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored in 33% in each subject.

Soldier (Nursing Assistant/ NA Vet) – 12th Pass (Intermediate) in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% Marks in aggregate and minimum 40% Marks in each subject.

Sepoy Pharma (Army Medical Corps) – 12th Pass or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, qualified in D.Pharma with minimum 55% Marks in aggregate and registered with State Pharmacy Council/ Pharmacy Council of India. Individual qualified in B.Pharma with minimum 50% Marks and registered with State Pharmacy Council/ Pharmacy Council of India will also be eligible.

Selection Process, CEE Syllabus and Physical Test

The selection process for Agniveer cadre consists of Phase-1 (Online CEE) and Phase-2 (Recruitment Rally). Candidates qualified and shortlisted in Phase-1 will be called for Phase-2 (Documentation, Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test, Adaptability Test and Medical examination).

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) – The PFT for Agniveer GD, Technical, Clerk/SKT and Tradesmen consists of the following test events:

1.6 Km Run:

Group I (Upto 05 Minutes 30 Seconds) – 60 Marks
Group II (05 Minutes 31 Seconds to 05 Minutes 45 Seconds) – 48 Marks
Group III (05 Minutes 46 Seconds to 06 Minutes) – 36 Marks
Group IV (06 Minutes 01 Second to 06 Minutes 15 Seconds) – 24 Marks

Beam (Pull Ups):

10 Pull Ups – 40 Marks
09 Pull Ups – 33 Marks
08 Pull Ups – 27 Marks
07 Pull Ups – 21 Marks
06 Pull Ups – 16 Marks
Below 6 Pull Ups – Fail

Ditch (09 Feet): Need to qualify.
Zig-Zag Balance: Need to qualify.

Provisions for Extra Time for 1.6 Kms Run in Hilly Terrain is as follows:
(1) Between 5000 Feet to 9000 Feet – Add 30 Seconds to all timings.
(2) Between 9000 Feet to 12000 Feet – Add 120 Seconds to all timings.

For the following categories, candidates only need to qualify in PFT:
(1) Agniveer Technical.
(2) Agniveer Clerk/SKT.
(3) Agniveer Women Military Police (WMP).
(4) Soldier Nursing Assistant.
(5) Sepoy Pharma.

Physical Measurement Test (PMT) – The Physical Standards (Height, Chest and Weight) for Agniveer GD, Technical, Clerk/SKT and Tradesmen will be measured as follows:

Height Criteria:

Agniveer GD, Agniveer Technical and Agniveer Tradesmen – 163 Cms
Agniveer Clerk/SKT – 162 Cms
Note: Height of IDG candidates for all categories is 157 Cms. Height of Tribals of authorized Tribal Areas candidates is 162 Cms.

Chest: Minimum 77 Cms (+5 Cms expansion).
Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per Army Medical Standards.

Relaxation in Physical Standards:
Outstanding Sportsmen (National/ State and those who represented District, College/ School State/ University/ Board Championship) – Height: 02 Cms, Chest: 03 Cms and Weight: 05 Kgs

Note: An eligible candidate can be granted prescribed relaxations in all three measurements i.e. height, chest and weight.

Army ARO Almora Bharti Rally Date

After completion of Online CEE (1st Phase), recruitment rally for the candidates shortlisted under Agniveer GD, Technical, Clerk/SKT and Tradesmen categories is scheduled to be held at KRC Ranikhet. District wise schedule of Recruitment Rally (2nd Phase) for ARO Almora will be updated below after confirmation. The exact date, time and location for the 2nd phase will be intimated through Admit Card.

Application form, Documents and Notification

Eligible candidates are required to register online applications for the ARO Almora Army Uttarakhand Recruitment through the website joinindianarmy.nic.in from 12th Mar to 10th Apr 2025. Candidates are required to register online (one time) before submitting applications for the Recruitment Rally. Candidates registered earlier can directly submit online application forms using registered Email ID and Password.

After the registration process you can appear in Online CEE (1st Phase) at designated venue on respective dates as mentioned in Admit Card only. Thereafter, candidates shortlisted in Online CEE have to participate in Recruitment Rally (2nd Phase) as per the date, time and location mentioned in 2nd Phase Admit Card. The Admit Card for ARO Almora Bharti Phase-1 and Phase-2 will be available online to download/ print.

Required documents – Carry the following required documents in original with 02 attested photocopies at the rally location KRC Ranikhet at the time of Phase-2.

• Admit Card printed on good quality paper.
• 20 passport size colour photographs in white background (not more than 03 months old).
• Educational marks sheets and certificates (10th/ 12th/ Graduation/ Diploma etc).
• Domicile certificate with photograph issued by Tehsildar/ District Magistrate.
• Caste certificate with photograph issued by the Tehsildar/ District Magistrate.
• Religion Certificate issued by the Tehsildar/ SDM (if religion is not mentioned in caste certificate).
• Police Character Certificate issued within last six months.
• School Character Certificate issued by the Principal/ College Principal/ Headmaster of last studied School/ College.
• Character Certificate with photograph issued by Village Sarpanch/ Municipal Corporation within last 06 months.
• Unmarried Certificate for all candidates with photograph issued by Village Sarpanch/ Municipal Corporation within last 06 months.
• Relationship certificate issued from respective Record Office (if applicable).
• NCC A/ B/ C certificates and Republic Day Parade certificate (if any).
• Sports Certificate (for Sportsmen).
• Affidavit duly signed by candidate on Rs 10/- Non-judicial Stamp Paper duly attested by notary (as per given format).
• PAN Card and Aadhar Card.
• Certificate of Bonus Marks/ Relaxation.
