Fireman and LDC – Rs.5200-20200 with GP Rs.1900
Tradesman – Rs.5200-20200 with GP Rs.1800

Age Limit (As on application closing date):
Material Assistant – 18 to 27 years
All other posts – 18 to 25 years
Educational Qualification:
Material Assistant – Graduate in any discipline or Diploma in Material Management or Diploma in Engineering in any discipline
LDC – 12th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognised Board and English typing with 35 wpm or Hindi Typing with 30 wpm on computer
Tradesman and Fireman – Matriculation (10th pass) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/ University
Selection Procedure and Exam Pattern
The selection process will consist of Physical test (if applicable), Written test and Skill test (if applicable). All tests will be conducted at Baddowal (Nearest Railway Station Baddowal, Ludhiana, Punjab). OMR based written exam (10th/ 12th standard) will be of 02 hours duration and will consist of 150 Objective type questions of total 150 Marks as per the pattern below.
General intelligence and reasoning – 25 Questions (25 Marks)
Numerical aptitude – 25 Questions (25 Marks)
General English – 50 Questions (50 Marks)
General Awareness – 50 Questions (50 Marks)

Eligible and interested candidates may apply for 17 FAD Civilian Defence Vacancies in the prescribed application form by downloading from website www.indianarmy.nic.in or from the link below. Send application form complete in all respect along with admit card (acknowledgement card), self addressed envelope with Rs.25/- postage stamps and attested copies of educational certificates, Class 10th Mark sheet (as a proof of date of birth), caste certificate etc through Ordinary/ Registered/ Speed Post to Recruitment Cell, 17 FAD PIN- 909717, C/O 56 APO so as to reach on or before closing date.
Envelope containing application must be superscribed in bold letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ………”

There is no physical test for material assistant…..merit list is based on written examination.
